The handover ceremony of the rehabilitated Mallam Market was held today, February 3, 2026, and officiated by the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy, and Religious Affairs.
The rehabilitated facility—comprising a crèche, market sheds, and modern toilet facilities—has been formally handed over to the Ablekuma North Municipal Assembly to enhance local commerce and promote community welfare.
The ceremony was well attended by the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Adamu Musa Kalamu, Management and Staff of the Assembly, as well as officials from the Ministry.
This project represents a significant milestone in the Assembly’s efforts to improve market infrastructure, support traders, and provide a safer, more dignified trading environment for residents of Ablekuma North.
