The Ablekuma North Municipal Assembly has officially launched a comprehensive four-day clean-up exercise aimed at eradicating filth and promoting a clean, healthy environment for residents across the municipality. The initiative involves extensive cleaning of the frontages of residential, commercial, and industrial premises, as well as major and inner roads. It also includes the desilting of drains to improve water flow and the collection of waste and debris along roadsides.
The clean-up exercise commenced at Kyiriabosom, where teams worked diligently to restore cleanliness to the area, before moving on to the busy Mallam Market. At the market, large volumes of filth and debris were successfully cleared from drains and surrounding areas, significantly improving sanitation conditions.
The exercise at the Mallam Market was supervised by the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Musa Kalamu Adamu, the Municipal Coordinating Director, Madam Vera Akuffo Mante, and the Assembly Member for the area, together with management and staff of the Assembly.
