The Ablekuma North Municipal Assembly, under the leadership of the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Kalamu Musa Adamu, has officially launched a week-long cleanup exercise targeting the principal streets across the municipality.
The exercise, which commenced on 13th December 2025, forms part of the Assembly’s preparations toward the Christmas festivities, with the aim of ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and visitors.
The Environmental Health Department is leading the exercise, working closely with management staff and other key stakeholders to ensure its effective implementation. Speaking at the launch, Hon. Kalamu Musa Adamu stated that the primary objective of the initiative is to promote environmental cleanliness and ensure a disaster-free Christmas celebration throughout the municipality.
He emphasized that maintaining a clean environment is critical to safeguarding public health and called on residents to support the exercise by adhering to proper waste disposal practices.
