As the Homowo Festival 2025 approaches, the Ablekuma North Municipal Assembly has embarked on a significant journey to honor the royal custodians of the municipality’s rich cultural heritage.
Led by the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Adamu Musah Kalamu, the Municipal Coordinating Director (MCD), and selected staff, the Assembly visited several palaces within the municipality. These included the Darkuman Chief’s Palace, Odorkor Chief’s Palace, Official Town Chief’s Palace, Kwashieman Chief’s Palace, Tsui Maamli Chief’s Palace, President Ga-Adangbe Muslim Chief’s Palace, Awoshie Chief’s Palace, Sakaman Chief’s Palace, Otaten Chief’s Palace, Tweneboa Chief’s Palace, as well as several sub-chiefs.
As a gesture of respect and solidarity with the traditional authorities, the Assembly presented cash donations, bags of maize, schnapps, and palm oils to support the upcoming Homowo celebrations.
Hon. Kalamu emphasized that the Assembly remains committed to preserving cultural traditions while fostering unity and development within the municipality. He further acknowledged the vital role of traditional leaders in promoting peace, cultural identity, and communal progress.
The traditional leaders, in turn, expressed their gratitude for the Assembly’s visit and support, assuring their continuous collaboration in building a peaceful and prosperous Ablekuma North.
