The Ablekuma North Municipal Assembly held its maiden Homowo Clean Up exercise on Saturday, August 6th, 2025, at Odokor Tsui Mamli. The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Ablekuma North, Adamu Musa Kalamu, stated that the Municipality is predominantly a Ga Community therefore the clean-up exercise was organized to usher in the Homowo Festival , a significant celebration in the Ga tradition.
MCE Adamu Musa Kalamu highlighted that there were a few challenges during the exercise. Most of the shops in the area had concrete slabs on their gutters, making it difficult to desilt the gutters. This issue posed a challenge in effectively carrying out the clean-up in some parts of Odokor Tsui Mamli.
