The Ablekuma North Municipal Assembly has successfully held its Annual Health Sector Performance Review Meeting, bringing together key stakeholders in the municipality’s healthcare delivery system. The meeting was aimed at assessing the performance of the health sector over the past year.
In attendance were representatives from the Ghana Health Service, the Ablekuma North Divisional Police Commander, the District Commander & Crime Officer, the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Adamu Musah Kalamu, the Municipal Coordinating Director, public and private health practitioners, civil society groups, and other key partners.
The review highlighted successes and challenges within the sector, including immunization coverage, maternal and child health indicators, disease surveillance, sanitation, and health infrastructure development. Participants engaged in constructive discussions on improving healthcare delivery, data management, and community engagement.
Hon. Adamu Musah Kalamu, in his remarks, commended the health workers for their dedication and resilience, especially in addressing public health emergencies. He reiterated the Assembly’s commitment to supporting health interventions that promote the well-being of residents.
The meeting concluded with strategic recommendations to enhance service delivery, strengthen collaboration, and ensure improved health outcomes in the coming year.
