A familiarization visit was undertaken to the Awoshie Mangoase zone of the Ghana National Tailors and Dressmakers Association (GNTDA) to engage directly with members and better understand the current state of their businesses.
The visit provided an opportunity to interact with local tailors and dressmakers, listen to their experiences, and gain insight into the challenges affecting their operations. Key issues raised included limited access to modern sewing equipment, rising material costs, insufficient working capital, and inadequate exposure to current fashion trends and digital marketing.
Despite these challenges, members expressed a strong commitment to their craft and welcomed the opportunity to collaborate on initiatives that can improve their businesses.
