A team comprising of the Municipal Chief Executive (M.C.E), Hon. Adamu Musah Kalamu and some key Officials of Ablekuma North Municipal Assembly in the early hours of Monday, 26th May, 2025 paid a courtesy call to the Ghana Private Roads and Transport Union (G. P.R.T.U) in the Municipality to ensure they full compliance with the directive.
In attendance were the M.C.E, the Coordinating Director, Management staff of the Assembly and Municipal task force.
The various lorry stations visited include Darkuman - Accra Station, Darkuman circle Station, Odorkor main lorry park, Kwashieman taxi Station, Darkuman Junction Station and Nyamekye Station.
Despite the reduction of transportation prices, some Commercial Drivers seemed to be adamant, therefore Hon. Kalamu brought to their attention to effect reductions with immediate effect.
The M.C.E also engaged some commuters in order to ensure full compliance of the reduced lorry fares.
