The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon Kalamu Musah Adamu together with the Municipal Urban Roads Engineer, Municipal Coordinating Director, Municipal Works Engineer, and the Municipal Environment Health Officer inspected the faulty Awoshie - Pokuase traffic light on Friday, May 23, 2025 only to discover that critical components that enable these lights to function have been stolen, leaving the traffic lights non-functional.
Addressing the constituents and the drivers that applies the road, The MCE stated that road safety is non-negotiable and therefore promised to replace and repair the non-functional traffic lights as soon as possible since it is essential for preventing accidents and ensuring the safety of all road users
