The African German Health Association (AGHA) emerged in 2020 from an initiative by companies to make a contribution and strengthen the health systems in Africa in a sustainable way together with local actors. The AGHA in conjunction with the Greater Accra Regional Health Directorate of the Ghana Health Service and Ablekuma North Municipal Health Directorate undertook a project which consisted of a campaign to encourage both clinical and non-clinical hospital staff to be vaccinated. A training session was held for selected staff from the various health facilities in the municipality to improve vaccine availability, digital tracking, and supply chain management of vaccines as well as waste management and infection control practices. A donation in kind consisting of canopies, chairs, dustbins, tablets, and various items for infection prevention and control was made to the municipal assembly to support and strengthen healthcare delivery within the municipality.
