Engineer Baah Tetteh, Principal Engineer from RCC took participants through a presentation on the operationalization of the Performance Appraisal where he highlighted how most MMDAs in the various Region have refused to understand the Performance Appraisal Instrument and its process.
Now the lead facilitator presented an overview of Performance Appraisal and stressed the need to complete the Performance Appraisal Form, and also advised on the need and the reasons to complete the appraisal process throughout the year. He also elaborated on the fact that Appraisal is now a mandatory instrument for all staff of Local government, which serves as a tool for improving performance by developing the performance of individuals and teams. it aims to have in place predictable, effective, and efficient systems for planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting on employees’ performance.
