The Annual Ablekuma North Municipal Inter-School Athletic Event held at Kwashieman Cluster of Schools Park was a thrilling showcase of young talent and athleticism. Over the course of three days from 20th to 22nd March 2024, primary and junior high school students competed fiercely in various track and field events. The following athletic events took place: 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 4x100m relay, and shot putt.
In the Primary division, McCarthy Hill Primary rose to the occasion, claiming the championship title with Kwashieman '2' Primary and Odorkor Saleria '2' Primary securing the first and second runner[1]up positions respectively. Meanwhile, in the Junior High School category, Odorkor Saleria ‘1’ Primary emerged victorious, while McCarthy Hill JHS and Kwashieman ‘2’ JHS clinched the first and second runner-up spots.
The competition was intense, with McCarthy Hill dominating overall, followed closely by Kwashieman '2' Basic and Odorkor Saleria '1' Basic. The athletes showcased exceptional skill and determination, making their schools proud with every stride and throw.
Amidst the cheers and applause, friendships were forged, and memories were made, highlighting the spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie among the participating schools. The event not only celebrated athletic prowess but also fostered a sense of community and pride within the Ablekuma North municipal area.
