Students from Saleria 1 & 2 schools received education on sickle cell disease, including its causes, prevention, and management.
The event featured a sketch performed by the school drama troupe, as well as educational sessions led by the Municipal Director of Health Services and the Executive Director of the Sickle Gene Action Foundation. Age-appropriate educational materials on sickle cell disease were distributed to all the children present.
Additionally, with parental consent, sickle cell testing and counseling were conducted for the students.
