On March 15, 2024, the Municipal Chief Executive for Ablekuma North, Hon. Kofi Ofori was invited by the Church of Pentecost, Darkuman District to offer a public lecture on the topic “Necessity to ensure cleanliness in our communities and the possible implications with regards to the laws on sanitation”.
Addressing the Congregation, it was the Assembly’s core mandate to create awareness on the issues of sanitation, especially to prevent communities from dumping waste into drains, watercourses and streams or illegal dumpsites and to manage waste which causes higher flooding.
Hon. Ofori also educated and brought their attention to the existence of operation clean your frontage and its accompanying sanctions when caught in the act.
